Dusk is a time for nighthawks, great-horned owls, barn owls and perhaps the western screech owl along the Verde River near the confluence of Oak Creek. We will leave the park at 5:00pm to travel to the Alcantara Vineyards for wine tasting while we wait for the sky to darken. Then we’ll head out for some dusk birding and owling. Bring along a flashlight as well as your binoculars. This should be a unique evening experience. You are responsible for the additional $8 collected at the vineyard for the wine tasting.
