The "Special Trip with Bill" led by Bill Thompson III and Phyllis Kegley, featured an extremely good birding day with sighting of 52 different species. Bill, editor of "Bird Watcher's Digest" is the Key Note speaker at the "Dessert Reception" in Old Town Cottonwood on Friday night at 6:30 PM.
The morning field trip to the Bubbling
Ponds and the Page Springs Fish Hatchery was followed by a delicious gourmet
meal hosted by the "Desert
Rose Bed and Breakfast" located in the Bridgeport area near Cottonwood,
Arizona.
The meal catered by The
Verde Valley Medical Center and prepared by the locally popular "Chef
Ricky" was served by Sebastien Lauzon and his wife, owners of "Desert
Rose".
Soon the list of birds seen on this trip will be posted for all the guests to access in the future and add new birds to their life list.
In addition, with any luck, we will add
photos of people from the trip and hopefully photos of the
"Yellow-breasted
Chat". Bald Eagle, and Osprey by Michael Durgain.
